Meter calibration – what and how?

Each Blue Technology lacquer thickness meter is included with calibration and calibration plates, depending on the model, it will be one or two tiles.

The calibration plate can also be used to validate the operation of the meter.

When the probe is correctly applied to the “FE-200um” plate, the meter should indicate 200 μm +/- 10 μm.

During calibration, we do not pay attention to the values shown.

Beware! Lacquer meters without measuring on aluminium elements are equipped with only one steel plate marked as “FE-200um”. The aluminium plate “AL-200um” is included only with meters with a measurement function on aluminum.

A-10-FE

On the on-off meter, hold down the “ON/OFF” button for 10 seconds. The display will feature 90, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10 and “HL” “FE” – here release the “ON/OFF”button.

Attach and hold the probe on the “FE-200um” calibration plate and press the “ON/OFF”button.

The meter has been calibrated calibrated and you can proceed with the measurements.
MGR-10..., MGR-1..., P-10...

On the off meter, hold the green “turn on” and red “turn off” buttons (about 2 seconds) while the “CALIBCH” message appears at the same time.

When the message “AL-200um” is displayed, place the probe into the calibration plate and press the blue “Memory” button (about a second).*

When the message “FE-200um” is displayed, place the probe into the calibration plate and press the blue “Memory” button (about a second).

After you do the above steps, the meter restarts. The device is calibrated.

MGR-11... and P-11...

On the meter turned on, hold down the “KAL” button for about 5 seconds until the display shows 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10 and “HL” messages.

When the message “AL” appears, you must attach and hold the probe on the “AL-200um” (red) calibration plate and approve with the “KAL” button. *
When the “FE” message appears, the probe must be applied and held on the calibration plate
“FE-200um” (grey) and approve with the “KAL” button.

The meter has been calibrated calibrated and you can proceed with the measurements.

MGR-13... DX-13... and P-13...

On the on meter, hold down the “ON/OFF”button until the countdown starts from 99 to 00, after which the meter will enter calibration mode.
You will receive the message “AL” (aluminum) – attach the measuring probe to the calibration plate “AL-200um” (red) and press the “F”button , *
Then the message “FE” (steel) is displayed – you must put the measuring probe into the calibration plate “FE-200um” (grey) and press the “F” button.

The meter has been calibrated calibrated and you can proceed with the measurements.
